報告簡介：
I will present the current status of our understanding of the dielectric properties of water confined in nano-slits. Experiments indicate a drastic reduction of the perpendicular component of the dielectric constant, but cannot resolve the parallel component. Simulations in general agree with a separation dependent perpendicular component but there is no consensus regarding predictions of the parallel component. Several scenarios are possible.

Rudolf Podgornik is currently a Chair Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in soft matter physics, macromolecular physics and biophysics. He is a National Program Expert with a National Specially Appointed Foreign Expert Honor. He authored more than 400 scientific articles that were cited more than 10000 times and has made an outstanding contribution to global scholarship.
